Day 2

VISIT OF THE UNESCO WORLD HERITAGES IN CAPPADOCIA

Today we will start to explore the natural and culturel sights of Cappadocia

GÖREME VALLEY:
As a place of refuge for hermits, the colorfully painted churches and monasteries convey the unique way of life of the monks from early christianity

SINASOS:
A former greek village, with about 30 churches, now works as a museum village. Special stone carvings on many buildings are still very impressive today.

ZELVE VALLEY:
We walk through the deserted Zelve valley, where up to 35,000 people once lived, and discover many hidden apartments, churches, galleries and monasteries in this unique place.

AVANOS AT THE RED RIVER:
The city of avanos impresses its visitors with its unique pottery in addition to its cultural features. We invite you to have a local tea on the kizilirmak river, the red river which is the longest river in the country at 1355 km.

LOVE VALLEY:
Columnar formations of the love valley are paradise for the photo lovers. With a short walk we approach these tuff pillars to see their formation up close.

Day 3

CAPPADOCIA – KONYA

Ihlara Valley, the underground city of Kaymakli and the Crater lake. The Ihlara valley is one of the most impressive landscapes of Cappadocia. The gorge excavated through the River Melendiz contains the most interesting churches and monasteries of the region, excavated in the side walls of the rocks.

In the land of underground cities we visit one of the largest settlements with 8 floors in Kaymakli.

Narlgöl Crater Lake, the only Crater Lake in Cappadocia, is located at 1370 m altitude. With its depth of 80 m and rich sulphur, it shines in the middle of the mountains like a pearl in this barren landscape.

Day 4

KONYA – PAMUKKALE

Today we drive across Anatolia, pass endless grain fields lined with many small villages. On the way we visit the city of the whirling dervishes Konya and the Mevlana Museum. In the late afternoon we reach Pamukkale.

Day 5

PAMUKKALE – HIERAPOLIS

Today we dedicate the day to the colorful culture of Pamukkale, with its impressive travertine terraces and new excavated ancient Hierapolis (one of the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE). In the afternoon you have enough time to try out the fabulous thermal baths in your hotel.

Day 6

TOWARDS ANTALYA

After the breakfast with delicious Börek and dried figs from the area, we make our way towards the south coast and cross the Taurus Mountains at an altitude of 2000 m. Passing nomadic settlements and barren land-scapes, we reach the traditional carpet weaving workshop, where we are heartily welcomed as loyal guests.

The managing director Mr. Savas welcomes us personally and is happy to tell how he and his employees survived the ongoing Corona period. In the late afternoon we are already at the Mediterranean coast.

Day 7

ANTALYA- THE HEART OF THE COAST

Today we make a detour to the provincial capital of Antalya, which is considered one of the most important holiday destinations in the world. The old town, the promenade and the Düden waterfall are among the most important sights.

Day 8

DEPARTURE- GULE GULE

Now, unfortunately, the time has come for us to say goodbye and we hope to see each other again in the years to come.
